I paid $120 for diagnosis fee and they told me there was a hole in a rubber boot near my mass airflow sensor and I said can u tape over the air leak just to prove it that the boot replacement would fix it and they said no. So I paid $120 just to get it out of their shop and then I pulled off the side of the road immediately with issues and taped up the whole that he said there was and it still was bad which means that if I paid $400 for the boot it was not going to fix the problem and he said he was not willing to believe me and go ahead and try to brainstorm it another way. So I got stuck with a hundred and $20 payment when he didn't even give me a correct diagnostic evaluation on my vehicle so I would not take my car there because they don't even knowU7nmfPf7wtA how to check for what's wrong they just keep chasing down problems and charging you accordingly until I figure it out. A real mechanic would already know what it is without having to do too much work. Use caution when using the shop you could lose a lot of money and it's still not be fixed
Hey Larry, thanks for the feedback. Your are correct we are not willing to jerry rig a repair with duct tape. Your were informed that we needed to repair the boot which was torn causing the lean condition and the broken motor mounts which caused the boot to tear and your previous tape repair to fail. May there be more repairs needed once that repair was made, possibly. But our testing did not lead us to believe there would be any more repairs needed. Thank you.
